It has been quite a year yet it feels as if we are able to pause for breath over the Christmas season and focus on the coming of the One who is himself the source of life and healing. You are, no doubt by now, aware of the decision Acorn has taken to leave the Whitehill Chase site after it being our home for the past 33 years. Yet in the same manner as the Christ whose first coming we celebrate in this season, after his death there was a glorious resurrection; we believe it is true also for us. Leaving the Chase feels like a death, yet we are already seeing the evidence of the resurrection!
The first Tuesday Healing Service of 2019 will take place on the 8th January at St Albans Church, Hindhead, Tilford Road, Hindhead, Surrey, GU26 6RB at the new time of 11:00, and the first School of Healing of 2019 will take place in the Lady Chapel of Guildford Cathedral, Stag Hill, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 7UP. We are extremely grateful for these amazing opportunities and we would love you, if you are able, to join us for the launch of these bold new steps. We will keep you in touch with all the developments as they happen, and you can find up to date information at the Acorn website www.acornchistian.org or via the Acorn Facebook page Acorn Christian Healing and the Acorn Twitter page @AcornChristian
You will see also that Acorn has been, and is, active around the country, and the ministry and training teams have been across the length and breadth of the country making Acorn’s unique ministry accessible to as many as possible. It is your partnership and support that has made this possible and I cannot express enough the gratitude of all involved in the ministry for your kindness, generosity and prayer on our behalf.
I recall just a few months ago, praying with a gentleman for his wife who was so ill that she was unable to get to the meeting at which I was speaking. I sensed that God was with him and encouraged him to pray with his wife when he got home. When he returned home, his wife was standing, mobile, and all her pain gone. She told him it happened just after 9:00, which was the very moment we were praying together at the close of the meeting. A gracious God, indeed. There are moments like that throughout Acorn’s ministry as we are privileged to serve the Christ of Christmas.
Thank you for sharing in this with us. May the Emmanuel God be close to you and those you love this Christmas season, and may his presence linger with you throughout the coming year.
Many and much blessing,
