The Acorn prayer

Lord, look upon this work
Grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness
while you stretch out your hand to heal
and signs and wonders are performed
Through the name of your Holy Servant Jesus
Amen
 

With the current tense international situation in the Middle East, you may like to use the following prayers:

Father, you made humans to love and care for each other
yet we have turned our ploughshares to swords
We are a part of a world that has shed the blood of thousands of your people
Have mercy on us and heal us.
 
Lord Jesus
You taught us to love our enemies
yet we are from nations who have preferred vengeance to justice and oppression to forgiveness
Have mercy on us and heal us
 
Holy Spirit
You are the comforter
When the darkness seeks to overcome us
kindle in us the fire of the love of God
that we may bring hope and comfort to others
 
Father, Son and Holy Spirit
teach us to listen
equip us to heal
release us to reconcile
Amen.

Dear Lord
I reach out to you today in my sickness.
Come with your healing power and touch me.
May your love enfold me
Your peace fill me
And breathe into my soul your Spirit of all hopefulness
Amen

Lord Jesus Christ, I offer to you today ____
whom I love and who is ill at this time.
Bring healing to her/his life
Assure her/him of your presence today
And give her/him the great gift of serenity
