Whitehill Chase is a Christian Resource Centre set in a large 19th Century Hunting Lodge within several acres of peaceful gardens and woodlands. It is in the small town of Bordon, near Petersfield in Hampshire.
It is provided by the Whitehill Chase Trustees for the use of Acorn Christian Healing.
Whitehill Chase which exists as a teaching resource on Christian healing and medicine to churches and society. We conduct an extensive programme of teaching, training and retreats, a full list of which is available.
It is an ideal location for churches, fellowships or other organisations to use for their own conferences and courses. The spacious setting and peaceful atmosphere at Whitehill Chase enables all who visit to leave behind the pressures of everyday life, and thus be free to fully appreciate and absorb the teaching and training that is offered.
Ministry of Healing
Services of Healing and Wholeness are held each Tuesday (except August) at 11:30am in the Chapel. These are open for everyone to attend. Coffee and lunch are included as well as the opportunity for personal prayer for healing. The services also show how local churches might hold a Healing Service. Quiet Days are bi-monthly (except August) and normally held on the second Thursday of the month from 10 am to 4 pm. Coffee, lunch and tea are provided at a small cost. The day includes three Devotional talks and a midday service with the opportunity for personal prayer and reflection. Please contact the office to make a booking.
Facilities and conference rooms
These are in the main house and consist of:
- large lounge with a maximum seating capacity of 60 which can be sub-divided with efficient folding wooden doors
- chapel with 50 seats in the main area and overflow into the library annexe for 30 people (20 restricted view)
- dining room with a capacity of 24 for sit-down meals or also suitable for self-service buffet style for up to 60.
- seminar room on the first floor for 15 to 20 people
- well-stocked bookshop on all aspects of healing and wholeness
- library with sections on general theology, spirituality, healing ministry and biography.
Equipment
Widescreen TV & DVD player, overhead projector and screen, Video Player, flip charts. Piano in the lounge and keyboard (limited range) in the Chapel. Photocopying can be arranged through the office at reasonable rates The Chapel is equipped with a selection of worship books There is a payphone for guests to use for outside calls. Catering
All food is prepared on site by our catering staff. Most common dietary requirements can be covered provided adequate notice is given. Meal times can be arranged to suit course requirements but are normally:
- 8am Breakfast
- 1pm Lunch
- 6.30 pm Evening meal
Morning coffee and afternoon tea can be as required. For one-day courses, under normal circumstances, when a group books the facilities, Whitehill Chase would expect to provide morning coffee, a suitable lunch and afternoon tea.
Accommodation
The rooms are in three different locations, but with ease of access to the main house:
- The Coach House has six rooms on the ground floor (two double and four twin) and three on the first floor (two twin and one single).
- The Bungalow has five rooms (one double, two twin and two single).
- The Main House has three rooms (two twin and one single).
All rooms are equipped with hand basins and hot and cold water. Bathroom and shower facilities are approximately one per two rooms with the exception of the Bungalow, where the double is en-suite and the other four share a bathroom. Each room contains tea and coffee making facilities except the Bungalow which has its own kitchen. All linen, towels and soap are provided free of charge.
