Called to Listen - Part 1

Called to Listen is Acorn’s advanced course for those who feel called to develop their listening skills.

Part 1 ~ Friday 18th - Sunday 20th May   
Part 2 ~ Friday 15th - Sunday 17th June

Led by members of the Christian Listener Team
This intensive course has been added to the Acorn Programme for those who find it difficult to attend the week long course being held at Whitehill Chase
in October 2012.

The inclusive fully residential price for both weekends is £350.00

The course will be based over 2 weekends in May and June.
(Attendance at both weekends is mandatory)

Called to Listen is Acorn’s advanced course for those who feel called to develop their listening skills. All candidates must have completed ‘Listening for Life’ (previously called ‘Learning to Listen’). This 12 session course builds on the experience of the previous course and teaches further listening skills using the mirroring method as a foundation. It also invites participants to listen carefully to themselves as part of their growth in wholeness, and to listen to God in a variety of ways.

• Listening to myself Listening to God 
• Qualities in the Listener Living with & listening to stress Listening to loss & change
• Becoming a Christian Listener 
• Good practice in listening Listening & other resources

Is this for me? Yes, if you

• Have found your previous Acorn Listening training helpful and useful in your ministry
• Respect others, are non-judgemental, and can keep confidences 
• Are open to learn from suffering and can enter the sufferings of others in a mature way 
• Know your own need for training and supervision and your own limits of competence and are willing to work in cooperation with others 
• Have some ideas as to how you will use it
