Acorn International
Since Acorn was founded in 1983 we have received various invitations to take our training programmes overseas. It was our privilege to make a contribution of listening training for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa. This led eventually to our partnership and the Aloe Christian Foundation was established in 1999. Since then a number of similar partnerships have been birthed and these are listed below.
In 2008 Acorn celebrated its Silver Jubilee and this included our first Acorn International with representatives from our overseas partners who met at Whitehill Chase for a week of consultations where we ere inspired and encouraged to learn of how Acorn’s ministry of listening, healing and reconciliation has been making a positive difference within those nations. The week of meetings culminated in a celebration service at the Methodist Westminster Central hall in London.
